Dr. Les Walkling is an artist, educator and consultant. He studied science and philosophy at Monash University before turning to fine art photography in 1975, receiving Australia Council Arts grants and exhibiting widely.
He has exhibited widely, including the retrospective one-person show ‘So to Live as to Dream’ at the National Gallery of Victoria in 1990. His work is also represented in many public collections including The Center for Creative Photography (Arizona), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), The National Gallery of Australia (Canberra), and The National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne).
Les Walkling is a leading authority on fine art photography and digital image making and is perhaps Australia’s most admired and respected authority when it comes to the printing process. He is not only interested in the creative side of photography, but he is an acknowledged expert on the finer points of colour management and printmaking.
